Study: Do wealthy tourists use travel agencies?

Skift Research conducted a survey to identify the travel preferences of high-income travelers.

The 50-question survey polled 1,300 high-income US citizens.

The aim of the study was to find out what wealthy tourists value, what expectations they have and what they focus on first and foremost in 2017.

As the company's experts note, travel needs are growing rapidly, and with the development of the global economy, travel brands are seeking to establish almost "personal" relationships with consumers who can afford more than average when it comes to transportation, accommodation, and other travel products and services.

So the bottom line is that most high-income travelers in the U.S. rarely or never used traditional travel agencies to book their trips.
