In 2018, Tunisia expects to receive 800 thousand tourists from Russia. This was announced at a press conference in Moscow by Tunisian Tourism Minister Salma El-Loumi El-Rakik.
According to her, at the beginning of the year there is a positive trend, and many markets are showing growth in tourist flow, including Russian.
"We pay great attention to the development of the Russian market. We strive to increase the number of Russian-speaking guides, we develop special programs, conduct familiarization trips, and provide benefits to the tourism industry," she noted.
The minister also added that the country has done a great job of improving security at airports, hotels, beaches and other public places.
It should be noted that in 2016 Tunisia received 600 thousand tourists from Russia, but in 2017 there was a slight decrease in tourist flow.
