TURIZM.RU together with the network of travel agencies "1001 Tour" sums up the results of the summer season and presents the ten most popular countries that organized tourists have chosen for their vacation.
Based on sales results for June, July and August, the most popular country among organized tourists became Türkiye. In total, about half of all clients of travel agencies went to the resorts of the Antalya coast. Russians spent on average about 108,000 rubles on travel packages.
Tunisia became the second most popular destination. The country held the second place almost all summer, except for a couple of weeks in June. Then Greece competed with the destination. Tours were sold for an average of 83,000 rubles.
Third place went to Greece. Although up until the last week the country was in tough competition with Cyprus. Throughout the summer, both destinations fought with varying success to get into the top three. Interestingly, the average price for trips to Greece decreased as the end of summer approached. If at the beginning of June tours were sold for an average of 152,000 rubles, then in the last week of August for 97,000 rubles.
Thus, the fourth position goes to Cyprus. The average bill for a trip was about 107,000 rubles.
Russia rounds out the top five most popular destinations this summer. Tours around our country were most actively sold in June and August. A slight decline in mid-summer had little effect on the final figures. Russians paid about 56,000 rubles on average for tours around the country.
The so-called second-tier destinations this summer were: Spain, Thailand, the Dominican Republic and Italy. From time to time, Spain was ahead of our country, but it failed to consolidate this trend. The average bill for a vacation in Spain was 116,000 rubles. Thailand, despite the low season, never left the "top ten" during the summer. In the last week of August, interest in the destination grew even more, which indicates the slow but sure approach of winter. Demand for the Dominican Republic also remained stable all summer. Tours were sold for an average of 160,000 rubles. This summer, Russians also went on tour operator tours to Montenegro, Bulgaria, Cuba and Vietnam.
