In 2018, about 5 million tourists from Russia visited Antalya, Turkey. According to the Haberturk publication, the number of travelers from Russia vacationing in the province has increased by a quarter compared to 2017.
"4.81 million Russian travelers visited province in 2018, which is 26.5% more than the year before. Germany took second place in terms of the number of tourists, with 2.3 million people coming from there. Ukrainian (717 thousand) and British (637 thousand) guests took third and fourth places, respectively. Poland rounds out the top five: in 2018, 400 thousand citizens of this country visited Antalya, which is 137% more than in 2017,” the portal notes, citing Antalya Governor Munir Karaloğlu.
Overall, according to the results of 2018, Turkish airports received more than 200 million passengers, which is almost 9% more than in 2017. In turn, Antalya Airport received 24 million tourists from different countries, which is 30% more than in 2017.
