Russia and Iran Discuss Launch of Tourist Service on Caspian Sea

Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami said that Russia and Iran have discussed the creation of a tourist route across the Caspian Sea.

«One of the proposals we voiced during negotiations with the Russian Minister of Transport (Evgeny Dietrich - ed.), was the creation of a sea tourist connection so that we could transport passengers by sea between the ports of Iran and Russia,” he noted.

He also reported that the proposal was approved by the Russian Federation.

Mohammad Eslami believes that the creation of communication between Iran and Russia and its launch will help develop tourism, as well as increase tourist flow on both sides. He also stated that Iranian tour operators are showing significant interest in launching direct flights between Tehran and Sochi, RIA Novosti reports.
