110 out of 123 tour operators who applied for subsidies for attracting foreign tourists to Russia in 2019 will receive financial support, the press service of Rostourism reported.
“The volume of budgetary allocations for 2019, envisaged for the provision of subsidies to tour operators, is 571.3 million rubles. During the application collection period from November 13 to December 2, 2019, the Federal Tourism Agency received 123 applications for subsidies from tour operators from 27 constituent entities of the Russian Federation for a total of 322 million rubles," the agency said in a statement, Interfax reports.
It also noted that 110 tour operators out of 123 were found to comply with the rules for providing subsidies.
Among the companies that applied for subsidies in especially large amounts were the cruise operators Mosturflot and Vodohod (25.7 and 24 million rubles, respectively), the Izmailovo hotel complex (21 million), the tour operator Akademservis (19 million), OOO Ekobytservis (15.7 million), OOO Balchug (14 million), the Zolotoy Koltso hotel (13 million), OOO Gorodskoye Byuro Puteshestviy (10 million), OOO Svoy Turizmei Servis (9.5 million), FSUE President Hotel (7.6 million), the tour operator TUI Russia (OOO TT-Travel and OOO Svoy Tur i Travel, a total of 6.6 million rubles), OOO VETT (6.4 million), OOO Dialog Narodov-1 (5.8 million).
