Press release

The first regional stage of the All-Russian awards will be held in Novosibirsk

On September 19-20, Novosibirsk will host the first regional stage of the 2019 season of the All-Russian professional awards "Events of Russia" and "Routes of Russia". The events will be held within the framework of the federal project "Hospitable Russia", initiated by the National Association of Event Tourism Specialists (NAST) in 2017. The project is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism).

The purpose of the awards is to identify the best Russian tourism practices at a professional level, to promote their advancement and development, and to form a communication and social-professional environment around the authors and organizers of projects and the territories where they are implemented.

The regional stage in Novosibirsk will bring together representatives of subjects from four federal districts - Far Eastern, Siberian, Ural and Volga. Over 120 projects were selected by experts at the correspondence stage and invited to Novosibirsk.

Participants' presentations and project evaluations will take place on September 19 in the conference halls of the Gorskiy City Hotel. The award ceremony will take place in the Great Hall of the Novosibirsk Region Administration.

"An important difference between the Hospitable Russia project awards and other competitions is the concept of professionalism in the formation of expert councils, evaluation criteria and an educational and consulting program for authors of competition projects. As in the previous year, in 2019 the Expert Councils of the Routes of Russia and Events of Russia awards are represented by professionals from the tourism industry, the event industry, and the media," he noted. Oleg Alekseev, President of the National Association of Event Tourism Specialists, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Hospitable Russia project — “The Expert Council of the All-Russian Professional Award “Routes of Russia” was headed by Sirchenko Alexander Alexandrovich, Deputy General Director for Government Relations (GR) and Communications at TUI Russia and the CIS, and the Expert Council of the Events of Russia Award was headed by Knyazev Sergey Pavlovich — founder and general producer of one of the largest event holdings in the country, KnyazevЪ, co-founder of the National Association of Event Organizers (NAOM).

The full list of members of the Expert Councils of both awards can be found on the official websites of the awards.

The winners of the regional stage of the awards in Novosibirsk will present their projects at the final in Moscow in November.

The implementation of the award programs in the Russian Federation is accompanied by educational and expert sessions held by NAST with the support of the International Academy for the Development of the Tourism Industry (MART), professional and expert communities, non-profit organizations, and leading educational and scientific-practical institutes of Russia.

Award "Events of Russia" was established by NAST as the first professional industry award in the field of event tourism, awarded based on the results of an open competition of ideas, projects and events held.

Award "Routes of Russia" was established by the federal online publication on tourism and recreation "Live Map" (www.2R.ru) and NAST as the first professional industry award in the field of development of domestic and inbound tourism, awarded based on the results of an open competition of the best implemented routes in Russia, as well as ideas for new routes.

The results will be provided to all federal government agencies responsible for tourism and territorial development, professional associations and unions, the tour operator and event community, and will also be published in specialized and industry media in Russia and abroad.
